The Day Center for Children and Youth with Disabilities in Lovech accepts sports equipment as a donation

The Day Center for Children and Youth with Disabilities in Lovech is accepting sports equipment donations. Funds for it – more than two thousand BGN – were raised through charity group workouts, said fitness instructor Kostadin Malinov, organizer of the initiative.

According to him, the aim is for children and teenagers from the care center to have the opportunity to practice at the location. “We bought two treadmills and two bikes so they don't have to go to the gym, because it's more convenient for them. “We must not only look at ourselves, we must also try to help others,” said Malinov.

Young people immediately tried out the new equipment, and the daycare center manager, Maria Nedyalkova, shared her joy at the donation.

“We are very happy because right on Christian Family Day we received an extraordinary donation. Kids and teens have been asking about treadmills for a long time. In my 25 years of working in this field, this is the first time someone has taken the initiative to collect donations for children from daycare, without me coming, forcing, begging. They are extraordinary young people with big hearts and I am very grateful,” said Nedyalkova.

BTA reminds Kostadin Malinov and Tim Lovech to this is the second time they have held a similar charity campaign for 84-year-old track and field veteran Petar Velichkov.
