The duo were arrested after posing as clothing and semi-jewelry buyers in Manaus


Heberth Andrei Araújo Ferreira, 20, and Gabriel Lima do Nascimento, 26, were arrested for felony theft and destruction of motor vehicle identification tags. The arrest occurred on Rua Álvaro Maia, Alvorada neighborhood, Manaus Central-West Zone.

According to delegate Wenceslan de Queiroz, head of the police unit, the two were being monitored by the police station team, and at that time they realized that they had committed the crime, and intervened in the situation. The perpetrators had simulated firearms.

In the latest robbery, the perpetrator took merchandise worth R$60,000.

“The two pretended to be buyers of clothes and semi-jewellery and arranged a meeting with the victims, that's when they carried out the robbery. They acted armed with a simulacrum to intimidate the victim and take their items. “At the police station, Gabriel was found to have an open arrest warrant related to drug trafficking, and was executed,” explained the Police Chief.

Procedure

Heberth and Gabriel will be charged with felony theft and tampering with motor vehicle identification. And they will remain in the hands of Justice.
