Firefighters extinguish a burning roof structure in Ramersdorf

Bonn firefighters put out a fire on the roof of a house in Ramersdorf on Wednesday evening. As announced by the fire department, a fire broke out in the roof attic at around 6 pm, which then spread to stored mattresses and other items. Firefighters were on scene with around 30 emergency services and quickly extinguished the fire.

Thermal cameras were also used to identify additional fire sources and fans were used to remove heavy smoke on the roof structure. No one was injured during the operation. Some parts of the building are no longer habitable. Based on initial assumptions, technical damage could be the cause of the fire. Police have initiated further investigations. Am Conzberg Street was completely closed during the operation. The operation finished at around 19.30.
