This publication covers a period of almost 130 years – between 1879 and 2007, presenting historical material related to other military formations on the Danube River as well as observation and liaison battalions.
The book has a volume of 180 pages and contains almost 200 photographs from the family archives of officers and sailors who served in the Danube River Navy, as well as their descendants. Three photographs from the museum's collection at the Regional Directorate “Fire Safety and Population Protection” were also used.
This publication aims to present unknown photographs and memories in the public space that will become a starting point for further studies, analyzes and debates on the topic of the Danube Navy, summarizes the Regional Library in Silistra.
