The story could have ended badly and it is hard to believe. An 8-year-old girl from Bedford, Ohio, United States, stole her parents' car to go to the supermarket…more than 10 miles away, according to Sky News. A 25 minute drive
It was the family's neighbor who said he saw the young woman getting into a Nissan Rogue SUV by herself around 7 a.m. So a search was on until police in the neighboring town of Bainbridge spotted the vehicle in a supermarket parking lot. A store that is just over 10 miles from the family's home, a 25-minute drive, according to the police report. At the scene, the police found the child in the store. Her family, relieved, was able to come get her.
Bedford Police posted a message on Facebook after the incident: “It's true, an eight-year-old girl took her mother's car this morning and drove to Target in Bainbridge to do some shopping.” Authorities wanted to reassure the public, “fortunately, she escaped and was found immediately by Bainbridge police. Now he has returned home safely”.
