Footage posted online shows a Porsche driver crashing into two people on one motorbike before wiping out another whilst opening their door.
The video shows the driver trying to move from one lane to another in slow-moving traffic in an unnamed country.
As they turn to the left, they collide with a motorbike carrying two people which loses control after they come together.
Soon after, the driver gets out of the right-hand side of the vehicle, but as they do so another bike comes along, and it collides with the Porsche too.
The video was shared on X by Lawrence Whittaker who said: “This Macan driver doesn’t really believe in mirrors.” Mr Whittaker was referring to the model of the car involved in the incident, the Macan is a small SUV.
The footage caused a stir on X as fellow users pondered who was at fault and discussed experiences of riding a motorbike.
One person said: “I’ve found recently too that sticking your indicator on means I’m moving over, come hell or high water.
“Had one today in a Focus. I couldn’t move right but they just came into the side of me almost from my left. I’m stuck in the middle.”
A second person wrote: “I ride, and whilst I’d agree with lack of mirrors, but motorcyclists who don’t ride to current road conditions don’t help themselves. Undertaking with a stopped car in the inside lane is just asking for trouble.”
A third commented: “As a motorcyclist, I reckon both riders were going too fast / riding like idiots.
“I wonder if it’s even possible to spot them in the mirrors when they’re going that speed.
“The Porsche driver had the presence of mind to immediately put the hazards on and shield the downed biker.”
