A magnitude 4.3 earthquake was recorded this evening near the town of Kalavrita on the Peloponnese peninsula in southern Greece.
The tremor occurred shortly before 3am local time (and Bulgarian time). Based on data from the Athens Institute of Geodynamics, the epicenter of the earthquake was 16 km southwest of Kalavrita and the focus was at a depth of 70.8 km.
The earthquake was felt in much of the Peloponnese. There were no reports of injuries or damage.
