A 47-year-old man in Stuttgart is said to have murdered his partner, who was one year older than him, and hid her body in the wall of their shared apartment. The man was arrested Monday, his background remains unclear.
A relative and several acquaintances reported the 48-year-old friend missing last Wednesday. Previously, they were unable to contact him for weeks and months.
In the subsequent examination, the suspect became the focus of the investigation. On Monday, police officers searched the couple's shared apartment, also with the help of a cadaver dog.

The suspect, who is a Romanian citizen, was brought before a judge on Tuesday at the request of the Stuttgart prosecutor's office, which issued an arrest warrant and remanded the 47-year-old man in custody.
