US fourth-quarter GDP growth revised up to 3.4%

FTX: Sam Bankman-Fried, founder of cryptocurrency exchange FTX, is scheduled to be sentenced at a Manhattan federal court. He was convicted of fraud and money laundering late last year. US prosecutors told a judge earlier this month that he should be sent to prison for up to 50 years. 

Walgreens Boots Alliance: The pharmacy chain is expected to report that revenues increased about 3 per cent in the three months ending February. Earnings are forecast to decline 59 per cent to 32 cents a share, according to analysts polled by LSEG. 

US jobless claims: New applications for unemployment aid are estimated to have edged up to 212,000 in the week ended March 23. 

US GDP: Economists expect the final estimate for fourth-quarter economic growth to remain unchanged at 3.2 per cent. 

Other economic data: Pending home sales in the US are expected to have increased 1.5 per cent in February from the previous month. The University of Michigan final consumer sentiment reading is expected to remain unchanged at 76.5.

Biden: The US president will attend a star-studded fundraiser in New York City with former presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton as he prepares for a rematch with Donald Trump in November’s election.
