Withdraw IEE registration from the Republic of Mexico

Chihuahua. – During the session, the Electoral Board of the Chihuahua State Electoral Institute (IEE) approved a declaration revoking the registration of México Republicano Chihuahua (MRCH) as a political party. The Council's decision is in accordance with Chihuahua's electoral law which stipulates as a condition for maintaining registration, obtaining at least 3 percent of the valid votes cast in the elections for members of the City Council and Provincial Council, last June 2. . Based on Computing System data, the party's valid votes in the Provincial Council elections were 18,049 votes or the equivalent of 1.18 percent. For the City Council election it was 17,616 votes or the equivalent of 1.15 percent, and for Sindicaturas. the number is 14 thousand 178, equivalent to 0.93 percent. All these percentages are not enough to maintain MRCH records. Therefore, based on article 116 number IV paragraph f) of the federal Constitution; and 94, paragraph 1, paragraph b), Party Law, the Council of State on Friday declared México Republicano Chihuahua deregistered as a local political party, and, therefore, deprived of all rights and prerogatives established in the Constitution of federal law, the Party Law , Election Law and other applicable regulations.
