With the concert of the group “Foundation” and festive illuminations, the Festival of sarma and meatballs, which took place in General Toshevo on the occasion of the city holiday, ended. Before this concert, for the guests and residents of General Toshevo, there was also a concert of the Professional Folk Ensemble “Dobrudzha” with the chief artistic director Stoyan Gospodinov. Mayor Valentin Dimitrov also led a long dance on the “White Swallow” square.
At the end of the evening, for more than an hour, the gathered audience sang famous Bulgarian hits along with “Foundation”.
Guest from Sarma and Meatball Festival it was chef Uti Bachvarov, who, together with his team and volunteers from General Toshevo, prepared huge quantities of Russian salad according to Toshevo's recipe and giant meatballs, which were distributed along with glasses of red wine to everyone who wanted it.
City General Toshevo celebrates its holiday on November 8 by the decision of the City Council in 1991. This date has been declared a day of absentee work in the city area.
