John Gordon, the lead lawyer for Nikita Hand, also known as Nikita Ní Laimhín, told the 12 people present at Dublin High Court that they had been “subjected to arrogant, unpleasant and dishonest testimony” from the fighter.
In his closing speech at a packed Dublin High Court, the barrister described McGregor's behavior as barbaric, cowardly and cunning. He went on to say that it was McGregor, who denied it violinul, conspired with a friend to fabricate a story that he and a friend, one of the defendants in the lawsuit, had consensual sex with the woman.
McGregor “made no response to his appalling behavior” and showed his true colors when he directed “insults” at his client during cross-examination, Gordon said.
He explained that Nikita lived in fear and was forced to move from the area where he lived. Regardless of the outcome, “she will forever be the standout woman” for facing McGregor, one of Ireland's most successful fighters, Gordon said.
