The Road Brigade announced that the accident occurred on Thursday morning, around 06.20, at Bd. Constantin Brancoveanu.
“From the first data, the 47 year old vehicle driver who was traveling in Bd. Constantin Brâncoveanu, from Str. Lucica to Sos. Oltenița, he surprised and injured a pedestrian who was trying to cross the road. “As a result of this traffic accident, the death of a pedestrian, a 52 year old woman, was confirmed dead after medical personnel carried out resuscitation maneuvers,” reported the Road Brigade.
The driver was tested with an alcohol test kit, the result shown was zero.
Traffic restrictions are in place at Bd. Constantin Brâncoveanu, direction to Sos. Olteniței, traffic lanes 1 and 3.
Police officers from the Road Brigade are carrying out investigations to accurately determine the cause and circumstances of the road accident.
