The Bulgarian men's national basketball team traveled to Montenegro, where they will face the host team on Friday in the first game of this month's EuroBasket 2025 qualifiers.
The Bulgarian team departed this morning from Sofia Airport on a flight to Istanbul, from where they will head to Podgorica. The delegation was led by the executive director of the Bulgarian Basketball Federation, Filip Videnov.
The team departed with 12 basketball players, and Lachezar Dimitrov (Levski) and Lachezar Toshkov (Minor 2015) remained in Sofia from the team that started training, the head office reported.
So in the Bulgarian group for the upcoming matches for the following players: Andrei Ivanov (Balkan), Simeon Lepichev, Emil Stoilov (Menorca, Spain), Konstantin Kostadinov (Tenerife, Spain), Dimitar Dimitrov (Palencia, Spain), Yordan Minchev (Spirou Charleroi, Belgium), Georgi Boyanov (Balkans), Ivan Alipiev (Antwerp Giants, Belgium), Pavlin Ivanov (Menorca, Spain), Brandon Young (Ankaragudju, Türkiye), Deyan Karamfilov (Rila athlete) and Konstantin Toshkov (Balkans).
Tonight, the Bulgarian team will hold an official training session in Podgorica.
The match between Montenegro and Bulgaria will take place on November 22 (Friday) at 20:00 and will be broadcast live on Nova Sport.
