Escriv wants to encourage the Bank of Spain to advise the government

The appointment of José Luis Escriv as the new governor of the Bank of Spain has sparked discussions about whether his move from minister to his new position violates the necessary independence of the institution, recognized by the 1994 Autonomy Law.
