Kate Middleton Completes Chemotherapy, Says 'My Goal Now Is Not To Get Cancer'

Britain's Queen Kate Middleton, Princess of Wales, has shared an emotional message after completing chemotherapy for cancer.

Kate Middleton, Princess of Wales, has expressed a sense of “relief” after completing chemotherapy for cancer. The mother-of-three was diagnosed with cancer earlier in 2024 after undergoing abdominal surgery. She was subsequently advised to undergo preventative chemotherapy, which has taken a physical and emotional toll on the British royal and her family.

An update on Kate Middleton's health was released in a post shared on the official @KensingtonRoyal account on X. Catherine's post read: “As the summer comes to an end, I cannot tell you what a relief it is to finally finish my chemotherapy. The last nine months have been incredibly difficult for us as a family. Life as you know it can change in an instant and we have had to find a way to navigate through stormy waters and uncharted roads.”

This time has, above all, reminded William and me to reflect and be grateful for the simple but important things in life that many of us often take for granted. That you simply love and are loved,” adds the 42-year-old.

The Cancer The diagnosis came as a “shock” to the family and all who follow the British royal family. She was first admitted to hospital in January 2024 for a planned abdominal operation. Doctors later discovered traces of cancer, after which she began preventative chemotherapy treatment. Kate is the second royal after King Charles III to be diagnosed with cancer, but the type of cancer she was diagnosed with was kept secret.
