Guardians defeat Yankees with spectacular comeback

Cleveland.- The Cleveland Guardians held their own at home and defeated the New York Yankees 7-5, in extra innings, in the third game of the American League Championship Series, to improve to a 2-1 record, still favoring the ninth New Yorker.

With a spectacular reaction in the ninth inning, the Guardians completed the win in the tenth, leaving the Yankees vulnerable at Progressive Field.

When the Guardians were one away from trailing 3-0 in the series, in the ninth inning, they tied the score at 5-5, when Jhonkensy Noel hit a home run to left field that gave the home team two runs. In the bottom of the tenth, David Fry hit a home run to left-center field to beat Bo Naylor and make the final score 7-5.

The Guardians overcame two consecutive home runs, one by Aaron Judge and the other by Giancarlo Stanton, this in the eighth inning.

Cleveland is getting closer to 2-1 and could even the score with a win in game four, scheduled for this Friday at 6:08 p.m. Central Mexico time.
