Chevrolet will reveal the next-generation Corvette ZR1 this summer.
“The unthinkable is coming this summer,” Chevy said Wednesday in a teaser video with the roar of an engine as the soundtrack as a silhouetted Corvette crashes through the ZR1 logo.
No other details were released. Automotive News reported last fall that Chevy has tested the upcoming top-performance production model at Germany’s Nürburgring, with the C8 variant powered by a twin-turbo V-8 engine with horsepower that could exceed 850.
The ZR1 will join the Stingray, Z06 and the hybrid E-Ray in the Corvette lineup. Chevy has said the 2024 E-Ray is the fastest production Corvette with a 0-to-60 time of 2.5 seconds.
