Andrew Scott is Ripley’s leading man and Netflix subscribers are curious to know about his relationship status.
Ripley is based on the 1955 novel The Talented Mr Ripley by author Patricia Highsmith which told the story of 1960s grifter Tom Ripley, who will be portrayed by actor Andrew Scott.
Tom is hired by a wealthy industrialist to travel to Italy to fetch his spoiled son Dickie Greensleaf (Johnny Flynn) who had been avoiding his responsibilities.
But while out there, Tom sees an opportunity to improve his own life which leads to a whole heap of problems for everyone involved.
Originally, The Talented Mr Ripley was a film starring Matt Damon and Gwyneth Paltrow in 1995 but has now been adapted for the small screen for the first time.

Is Ripley actor Andrew Scott in a relationship?
Taking on the role of Tom Ripley himself is actor Andrew Scott who is believed to be currently single.
This wasn’t always the case though as Scott was reportedly in a 15-year relationship with actor-turned-writer Stephen Beresford.
While he made some one-off appearances in shows like Peep Show and Casualty, Beresford is by far better known as a writer, having worked on The Last of the Haussmans and Tolkein.
It isn’t clear how Scott and Beresford met but they did work together on the former’s movie Pride, which was written by his former half.
They reportedly dated for more than 15 years before splitting up in 2019, however, three years later, the former couple was seen together in Venice.
So despite their romance coming to an end, it appears that Scott and Beresford have remained friends.
For the most part, the former Fleabag star prefers to keep his personal life out of the spotlight but has previously opened up about relationships.
In January 2020, during a conversation on the How To Fail podcast, he said: “You learn from people. It’s not about the length of time you spend with somebody.”
“My life is different now. I feel like my attitude towards relationships and my attitude towards myself and sexuality and all that stuff has changed, and that came about from having the courage to be on my own for a bit, quite a scary thing to do.
“When I lived on my own for the first time, I found it really difficult.
“I feel proud that I’ve spent time by myself because it certainly wasn’t easy.”
