BBC Breakfast Rachel Burden’s outfit sparks frenzy as fans beg her to be permanent host

BBC Breakfast stand-in host Rachel Burden certainly got viewers talking as she and Ben Thompson hosted the Easter Sunday edition of the morning news programme.

Rachel sent viewers wild as she opted for a bright yellow fitted dress with short sleeves to brighten up everyone’s Sunday morning.

Pairing it with bright red lipstick, Rachel certainly made a statement as she shared snaps from the red sofa with Ben, as fans rushed to compliment her.

One said: “Morning guys happy Easter looking very mellow in yellow Rachel beautiful colour.”

Another added: “Fantastic yellow dress. Fantastic red lipstick, great wavy hair. Move over Nugent, we need Burden on Breakfast weekdays.”

A third chipped in: “Happy Easter – great outfit for the day,” while another joked: “#ScrubsUpWell and Rachel not looking bad either.”

A fourth agreed: “Rachel burden looking very colourful this Easter Sunday,” as a fifth gushed: “Happy Easter Sunday Rachel & Ben.Well done to you both looking so bright & breezy after losing an hour overnight.Thank you & the team for bringing us the news so early on an Easter Sunday. Have a lovely day.”

This isn’t the first presenter change-up this week, as Ben hosted two episodes with Naga Munchetty, who normally presents Thursdays to Saturdays with Charlie Stayt.

But as Charlie took a break from the show, Ben stepped in, but Naga was then forced to present with another star as Ben didn’t appear on Saturday’s edition.

Roger Johnson stepped in to save the day, and the pair gave viewers all of the biggest news of the day.

BBC Breakfast airs weekdays at 6am on BBC1.
