Alongside a picture of her beloved nan, she penned: “My nan got her angel wings. I know wherever she is, she will be knitting and watching LFC. Finally at peace.” Christine’s famous pals and fans rushed to the comments section to share their words of love and support for the mum-of-three.

Loose Women star Denise Welch commented with three red love heart emojis while Blue singer Duncan James said: “Sending you love my bestie xxxx.” Coronation Street star Victoria Ekanoye penned: “Biggest hug on its way,” with three red heart emojis. A fan of Christine’s wrote: “Sorry to hear this Christine…I’m sure she was an amazing woman.”

Christine’s loss comes after she opened up about being alone since splitting up with her ex-husband Paddy McGuinness. The television personality recently took part in a brand new series of Pilgrimage on BBC Two and shared her reasons for signing up for the show.

As well as this, she also discussed her autism diagnosis and how lonely she’s felt since her break-up.

The former model separated from her ex-husband in 2022 after spending 14 years together. They share three children, who are all also diagnosed with autism.

Christine said: “Growing up I always felt different. I didn’t understand people, conversations. I didn’t get jokes.

“I felt like an outsider, but since my diagnosis I understand the world a lot more.”

Speaking about her split, she said: “I don’t know life any different than to be with Patrick.

“I’m not really sure who I am, and what my path is in life. I’m on my own, and I need to figure it out.”

Also on the Pilgrimage journey was former Made in Chelsea star Spencer Matthews, actor Tom Rosenthal, reality TV star Amanda Lovett, comedian Eshaan Akbar and presenter Michaela Strachan.
