As another episode of The Chase aired on Monday, viewers were left floored by one contestant’s youthful appearance and questioned how old he was. Dan from Stockport appeared on the ITV show for the first instalment of the week, but fans were more interested in his age.
Viewers flocked to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share their thoughts about Dan on the social media platform. One intrigued fan asked: “Is he about 15? #TheChase.”
Another X user commented: “#thechaseuk #thechase @thechase Dan must get asked for ID all the time.” Somebody else agreed and said: “Has this little chap left school yet??? #thechase.”
Yet another asked: “Is it bring your kids to a game show day – I’m assuming seat one is Dan’s dad… #TheChase.” A fifth ITV viewer joked: “Might be a lot of ‘before my time’ here #thechase.”
While a sixth person added: “#TheChase late to the party. This kid looks 14.”
Bradley Walsh was on hand to host another episode as Paul Sinha, known as The Sinnerman took on the contestants in a bid to try and beat them to the cash prize.
Unfortunately, Dan wasn’t able to make it through the first round and lost £8,000 for his cash builder, as well as Alayne from Liverpool, who also left the show after the first round.
Dan’s fellow contestants, John from Buntingford and Zuby from London added £12,000 to their cash builder and made it through to the final.
The pair managed to successfully answer 15 questions, which meant they had 15 chances to beat the chaser.
Despite Paul getting a few questions wrong, he was able to beat John and Zuby, and oust them from the game.
Paul, 53, has been a regular fixture on The Chase since he joined in the fourth series.
Mark Labbett and Shaun Wallace are the only two chasers who have been a part of the show since its inception in 2009.
Anne Hegerty joined in series two, Jenny Ryan in series nine and Darragh Ennis became a chaser in 2013.
The Chase airs weekdays from 5pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
