The Volleyball Association plays the former mayor of Salo Lauri Innaa To the board of the Finnish Olympic Committee and vice chairman.
The current mayor of Pori, Inna, has served as president of the Volleyball Association since 2022.
– The background for future sports and elite sports guidelines must first be a good and constructive joint discussion: we all have to be on the same side. We need cooperation so we can rejoice in the success of everyone across the world of sport. “After this, it's time to make a new plan,” commented Inna in a Volleyball Association press release.
– It is clear that the day-to-day work of elite sport must play a huge role in future discussions and planning that start now. Due to limited resources, it is also necessary to find new operating models and perhaps undertake more international cooperation, especially in terms of coaching.
The Olympic Committee's autumn meeting, which determines the selection, will be held on November 30. The Olympic Committee Board is elected for four years at a time. For the first time, assembly elections will now be held without a nomination committee and voting will be conducted digitally.
