The state government has invested more than 150 million pesos in the Food Program, the closing of which took place this Wednesday afternoon in the Villa California neighborhood of Torreón; Governor Manolo Jiménez Salinas highlighted that the strategy not only provides food incentives, but also the family economy.
Statewide, 480 thousand actions have been carried out through the Food Program, where in Torreón alone, more than 33 million pesos have been invested for more than 109 thousand beneficiaries.
This assistance consists of milk and egg deliveries to feed thousands of girls, boys, pregnant women, teenage mothers, elderly people, and people with disabilities.
This is in addition to other measures that improve health, education, housing, infrastructure, among others, which generally contribute to a better quality of life for families.
Governor Manolo Jiménez Salinas emphasized that social action will continue next year because it is one of the main axes of government.along with other areas such as security and investment attractiveness, which highlights the arrival of more than 95 billion pesos from companies that have settled in the entity this year.
For his part, the Mayor, Román Alberto Cepeda, thanked the governor for considering Torreón for the closure of the program.
