Prince Harry and Meghan Markle work just one hour a week at Archewell Foundation

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle work “just one hour per week” at the Archewell Foundation, official documents can reveal.

The Archewell Foundation has released its public disclosure of their accounts for 2022, and on page seven of the report it highlights how many hours staff work each week.

Executive dirctor James Holt works 40 hours per week, while Michael Dale Stein, the firm’s strategic advidor, works the same amount alongside Shauna Nep, who acts as treasurer. In stark contract Prince Harry and Meghan Markle – referred to in the company’s official documents as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and co-directors, work just one hour per week.

It comes as it was revealed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s charity was abandoned by its donors as it brought in £9m less than last year.

As executive director of the struggling foundation, James Holt earned £180,835 ($227,405), including a bonus, while Prince Harry and Meghan do not take a salary. Meanwhile the company spent a grand total of £509,285 ($640,441) on staff wages.

The 47-page document also highlights that Archewell secured just two donations of $1 million (£795,210) each. This was a huge drop compared to last year, when total donations sat at $11 million.

And due to the shortfall donations, the foundation actually recorded a loss of more than £7 million, in the latest in a string of humiliations for the ex-senior royals.

Harry and Meghan have been hitting the headlines for all the wrong reasons in recent weeks, as the Duke of Sussex was ordered to pay nearly £50,000 after a bitter court battle. Meanwhile they have continued to remain silent after the publication of their “mouthpiece” Omid Scobie’s book resulted in the accidental publication of the alleged “royal racists” in a Dutch version of the book.

As royal fans have urged them to speak out, experts have commented on the stark contrast between Prince Harry and Meghan’s struggles and the festive spirit of the Wales’s – who were yesterday spotted volunteering at a baby bank.
