Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are having increasingly more “rows, the closer Christmas gets” as they can’t reach an agreement over their Christmas plans, an insider has claimed.
The couple is reportedly trying to find common ground about whether they should spend the festive period in the UK, with the Duke of Sussex trying to “persuade Meghan to swallow her pride”.
The insider told Heat magazine: “[They could] avoid less welcoming types like the Prince and Princess of Wales. Plus it would be a coup from a PR standpoint because they’d maintain those visible links with the monarchy – and let’s face it, that’s what makes them marketable. But they just can’t agree and, the closer Christmas gets, the more rows they’re having over it,” they added. They also said that Harry respects Meghan’s determination to not back down amid rising tensions.
“Harry respects Meghan’s hard line about putting the royal family in the rear-view mirror. He’s assured her that’s not caving in or backing down.”

Sources told New magazine: “Harry has been invited along with Meghan and their children, Archie and Lilibet, to join Charlie van Straubenzee’s family during the festive season.
“They have homes in London and Lincolnshire. Charlie is Harry’s best friend and also Archie’s godfather and the pair have recently grown closer again following a distant few years when Harry first moved over to America.” They added: “The Sussexes have received a number of invites from their friends in the US for the holidays. It’s not like they don’t have anywhere to go.
“David Foster has invited them for his extended Christmas weekend and there are also other options on the table but there seems to be a stalemate over where they should go.”
