Sources close to Harry and Meghan quoted in Dutch version of Omid Scobie’s Endgame book

The Dutch version of Omid Scobie’s book Endgame contains unique extracts in which Prince William is branded “heartless”.

The insult against the first in line to the throne appears to be attributed to “sources close to Prince Harry and Meghan” and the wording cannot be found in the UK edition.

It says the heir to the throne was “still angry” with his younger brother at the time of Elizabeth II’s death in September last year, due to Harry and Meghan’s bombshell Oprah Winfrey interview in 2021.

Prince William allegedly denied Harry a spot on a private plane to Balmoral to be at the Queen’s deathbed.

It was during their Oprah chat that the Sussexes first made race allegations against the Royal Family, but didn’t give any names. Scobie says he “never submitted a book” with their names in it.

According to The Sun a section of the UK version of Endgame mentions the Balmoral trip arrangements, with the book saying: “Harry was informed that William had already secured a flight with his uncles Andrew and Edward (and Edward’s wife, Sophie), but he couldn’t get in touch with anyone about joining that flight.

“It was upsetting to witness,” said a source close to the Sussexes.

“(Harry) was completely by himself on this.”

The Dutch version of the book then continues: “It was heartless to deny him the chance to go to Scotland to say goodbye to his grandmother,” says a source close to the Sussexes.

“This was not the time to be petty.”

Revelations in the Scobie book about the royals have sparked anger from supporters of the Windsors.

Royal Family members who “trash” the institution could be stripped of their titles under a new law proposed by a Conservative MP.

Bob Seely took aim at Harry and Meghan as he outlined his hopes to bring forward legislation in the House of Commons.

The Isle of Wight MP said he will present his Titles Deprivation 1917 Act Amendment Bill in the next couple of weeks in a bid to “strip the Duke and Duchess of Sussex of their royal titles”.

Writing for the Mail on Sunday, Mr Seely said: “I’m not a republican and support the monarchy, but after the latest instalment of the couple’s feud with the rest of the royal family, I believe that Parliament and the Privy Council should consider a nuclear option.

“The Duke and Duchess can be Mr and Mrs like the rest of us.”

He added: “My Titles Deprivation 1917 Act Amendment Bill would allow a vote in Parliament to advise the ancient advisory Privy Council to strip a member of the royal family of their titles.

“My aim is simple: if someone doesn’t want to be royal, that is a decision we respect – but they should not keep the titles and privileges if they trash an institution that plays an important part in our nation’s life.”
