When you first discover a nebula in Astrobotyou will have access to one planet. As you progress through the levels, new planets will appear until you can eventually face the boss. However, hidden in the nebulae are many small planetoids, each of which contains a bot. There are even some puzzle pieces who have been abducted by aliens and you will have to chase them around the screen to collect them.

To make these hidden levels appear, just fly until they appear! Now, there are some caveats that make this piece It's more complicated, but overall it's simple.

Often these events won't be visible until you've finished studying the other planets in the nebula, so it's best to wait until you complete all the major planets before looking for new ones. Once you've completed the nebula boss and the iconic level, simply fly around the screen, bumping into planets. Eventually – usually within 20 seconds – an event will appear on the screen prompting you to investigate.

All of these events are very simple. Most of the time, you just need to crash your ship into a planet and it will turn into a level. Other times, you might need to fly through a bunch of asteroids, circle around space debris, or chase an alien carrying a puzzle piece.

In four of the five nebulae, you'll eventually find voids in the shape of one of the four PlayStation buttons. Once you've started these levels and completed them, you'll unlock four new challenges in that nebula, themed around an X, Circle, Square, or Triangle.

If you've been flying for 15-20 seconds and nothing is happening, try exiting the nebula and coming back. Sometimes, no more than one event happens in a single flight.
