El Paso.– Justice takes time but it will eventually come true. On October 17, 2024, authorities arrested Hector Zubia, 34, of El Paso, Texas, for shooting Sebastian Cardoza, 19, in an incident that occurred on September 6, 2024 on Border Highway.
Based on the investigation, Zubia alleged that Cardoza's vehicle, a Saturn Aura, hit his car at least twice. Both vehicles stopped on the road to Loop 375 East, at which time Zubia shot Cardoza, accusing Cardoza of trying to attack him.
However, the Crimes Against Persons Unit found Zubia's statement did not match the evidence at the scene. Zubia was arrested and faces charges of assault with a deadly weapon. Judge Estrada set bail at $250,000.
