Luzia's warning about data protection in AI – El Financiero

In an increasingly sophisticated digital environment, Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications are starting to be implemented in the daily lives of users in Monterrey and other regions of Mexico. However, as these technologies improve, the risk of users' personal data being used without their knowledge also increases.

The company Luzia, a developer of AI personal assistants, warned about this risk in a recent statement.

According to a study conducted by the company, 48 percent of users, out of a total of 50 million customers worldwide, would accept their personal data being used to train the AI of their favorite apps, without fully understanding the impact. this may impact your privacy and security.

Álvaro Higes, founder of Luzia, noted that it is crucial for users in the region to understand the risks.

“We need to raise users' awareness about not automatically exposing their personal data to AI,” Higes said.

Cybersecurity Awareness Month, celebrated in October, is a good reminder for users in Monterrey and Mexico to protect themselves from possible cyberattacks and bad practices in managing their information.
