Ovidio returns to Chicago prison and Joaquín is transferred

Washington.- Ovidio Guzmán López, “El Ratón”, returned to prison in Chicago, Illinois, while his brother, Joaquín, was transferred to another prison at the request of his lawyer.

According to the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) public consultation site, “El Ratón” has been interned again at Chicago's Metropolitan Correctional Center, from where he departed on July 23 for reasons that are also currently unknown to the public domain.

Meanwhile, Jeffrey Lichtman, lawyer for Joaquín Guzmán López, confirmed to Noticias Telemundo that his client has not been in the Chicago prison since October 16, because they requested that he be transferred to another penitentiary due to the poor conditions there. Although he revealed that “El Chapo Guzmán's” son was still in the custody of United States authorities, Lichtman did not report where Joaquín had been sent.
