Flamengo can rely on strong strength for the second match of the Copa do Brasil final. Rubro-Negro visits Atlético-MG this Sunday (10/11), at 16.00. After almost two months out, Luiz Araújo trained with the first team this Friday (8/11) and is expected to return to take big decisions with the club.
The striker was seen on the pitch, training with the first team, in a video released by Fla TV. Luiz Araújo suffered a cartilage fracture in his right knee in September and underwent arthroscopy to treat the injury.
At coach Filipe Luís' press conference, following Flamengo's 1-0 win over Cruzeiro, the possibility of the striker's return was mentioned. “I hope Nico (De la Cruz) and Luiz Araújo can play on Sunday, and this will really strengthen the squad”, said the coach.
The first match of the Copa do Brasil final ended with Flamengo's 3-1 win at the Maracanã. With this advantage, Rubro-Negro could be beaten on goal difference and still win the competition's fifth title against Galo.
