The second round of municipal elections will take place next Sunday (27), in 51 cities across the country. And, once again, voting times will be unified. As in the first round which took place on October 6, the time used was Brasília, from 8 am to 5 pm.

Therefore, voters in Campo Grande, Cuiabá, Manaus and Porto Velho, cities in different time zones from Brasília, should pay attention to voting times. In the four capital cities, voting will be open from 07.00 to 16.00 local time; one hour before Brasilia time.

Vote counting will begin at 5 p.m., following the federal capital's time zone, as soon as polls close. However, voters who are still queuing at that time will have the right to vote.

This is the first time that municipal elections have been held on a unified schedule across Brazil. This step has been implemented in the 2022 election.

The second round for the post of mayor will be held in 15 capital cities and in 36 other cities. There are more than 33 million eligible voters.
